China Huadian Group Co., Ltd. (known as "China Huadian") is an oversize national enterprise supervised by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. Its main businesses are power production, thermal production and supply. In 2019, the company ranked 386th among the world's top 500 enterprises.

CHD's project in Sihanoukville, Cambodia, is to build a 700000kw Coal Fires Power Plant with an investment of 1.29 billion dollar, and an estimated annual generating capacity of 4.6 billion kilowatt hours. Huadian's investment of thermal power project will greatly alleviate the current situation of power shortage in Cambodia; meanwhile, it also creates lots of new jobs for local people.
