Ecotrend has become the AAC panel supplier of the Kratie Provincial Special Economic Zone Project

Background of the Kratie Provincial Special Economic Zone

The Cambodian Kratié Special Economic Zone is invested and developed by Zhongqi Holding Group, which is a modern comprehensive industrial national park for domestic and overseas investors.

During the official visit to Cambodia by Chinese President Xi Jinping in October 2016, Kratié Special Economic Zone became one of the 11 key projects under the Memorandum of Understanding for Joint Promotion of Key Projects in Capacity and Investment Cooperation signed between the two sides and drew great attention from the two governments.

The zone closely neighbors Snoul county of Kratié Province, the biggest international land port in the north-east of Cambodia.

The total planned area of the zone is about 9 square kilometers, harboring general industrial area, export processing area, free trade area, and living area. The construction work is divided into three phases.

The principal businesses of the zone include processing of industrial crops, wood furniture, construction materials, rubber products, warehousing and logistics. Once completed, the zone can allow over 200 enterprises to run their businesses here and provide 80000-100000 job positions.

Ecotrend’s participation in Kratie Provincial Special Economic Zone’s Dormitory Building Project

In order to complete construction of this project as soon as possible, the project owner needed to select some building materials to shorten the construction period. The project manager finally got in touch with our factory. Ecotrend’s AAC panel could greatly shorten the construction period by about ½. Compared with traditional clay brick, it meets their project schedule requirements.

Finally, this project owner has signed a contract about AAC panel supply for Kratie Provincial Special Economic Zone. Ecotrend has already delivered the first batch of AAC panel to the construction site, and the construction work of AAC panel has already started.

At present, this project includes 13 units of dormitory buildings. The total building area is 65,000 square meters. The first phase of the project includes 2 units of dormitory buildings with a total building area of 10,000 square meters. In this project, the project owner chose AAC panel with thickness 120mm.

We believe the contractor can catch up with the construction schedule by using our AAC panel product. The dormitory buildings will be put into use in the near future, more domestic and international workers could then be accommodated, and then promote the development of Cambodia’s economy.
